Reaching out for support is often the hardest step, and recognising that you may need help takes courage. It’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or even nervous about starting therapy. Change doesn’t have to happen all at once — small, consistent steps can lead to meaningful progress. Be patient and compassionate with yourself as you begin the process.

Professional Experience

Lini is a client-centred psychologist who provides evidence-based interventions for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, relationship concerns, adjustment difficulties, work-related challenges, and LGBTQ+ related issues. She is particularly experienced in supporting clients presenting with complex psychosocial stressors, functional impairment, and barriers to engagement.

Lini brings experience from occupational rehabilitation settings, where she conducted psychological and functional assessments, and helped clients develop coping strategies, strengthen emotional regulation skills, and work towards meaningful functional and vocational goals.

Lini has a deep understanding of how occupational stress and interpersonal challenges can impact mental health and day-to-day functioning. She is passionate about helping individuals build resilience, regain confidence, and develop practical strategies that support both emotional wellbeing and functional progress.

Lini is warm and empathetic, and her sessions are collaborative and supportive. She places strong emphasis on building rapport and creating a safe, non-judgemental therapeutic space. Her therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and solution-focused, and primarily grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing. She tailors her interventions to each individual’s needs, goals, and readiness for change, and can conduct sessions in English and Hindi.

One of the most meaningful lessons Lini has learned throughout her career is the depth of resilience people carry, even when they feel overwhelmed. Many clients come in feeling stuck or defeated, yet through reflection and gradual change, they often rediscover strengths they may not have recognised before. For Lini, therapy is not about “fixing” someone, but about helping them reconnect with their capacity to cope and grow.

When she isn’t working, Lini enjoys gardening and baking. She also enjoys listening to The Feeling Good Podcast by Dr. David Burns.
