Sharon Cheung
Professional Experience
For Sharon, one of the most rewarding moments at work is hearing a client feel understood over the phone. Compassionate, supportive and patient, she values the small interactions that can make seeking support feel more comfortable.
Sharon studied Psychological Science at UNSW and has a particular interest in developmental psychology. Her background includes working with children and families in tutoring centres and art schools, where she developed an appreciation for how people learn and grow at different stages of life. During a psychology internship, she also helped develop presentations and educational media to support children’s understanding of mental health and wellbeing.
At New Vision Psychology, Sharon helps connect clients with psychologists suited to their needs, taking care to ensure they feel heard and supported along the way. She enjoys working alongside people who share a commitment to understanding others and appreciates the care that goes into each client’s experience.
Outside of work, Sharon enjoys travelling, discovering different foods and trying to recreate them at home. She also loves shopping, playing sports, spending time with family and friends, and unwinding with arts and crafts.
