Our Burwood practice

Our Burwood practice provides convenient access to mental health services for people working and living in Sydney’s Inner West.

We offer a range of individual counselling services including depression counselling, anxiety counselling, LGBTIQ support, anger management counselling and relationship counselling.

Our psychologists are available Monday – Saturday.

Burwood Clinic Opening Hours

  • Appointments are available Mondays-Fridays 8am-8pm and Saturdays 9am-6pm
  • We are closed on Sundays

Our Fees

A standard session is 50-minutes. This applies for both counselling and assessment services. The Australian Psychological Society recommends a fee of $280 for a 45-60 minute session.

New Vision Psychology Burwood is located at 16 Railway Parade, which is only a 2-minute walk from Burwood train station.

You will find limited street parking along Railway Parade. Alternatively, there is 2-hour free parking available at Burwood Plaza (access via Wynne Ave).

If you’re taking a bus, alight at either Stand E or Stand F along Burwood Rd.

Yes. You can get a Medicare rebate of $88.25 per session for a Registered Psychologist; $129.55 per session for a Clinical Psychologist; and $77.80 per session for a Registered Mental Health Social Worker.

To be eligible for Medicare rebates, you must get a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your General Practitioner (GP) or a relevant medical specialist.

On Mondays to Fridays, our first appointment is at 9am and our last appointment is at 9pm.

On Saturdays, we are open between 9am to 5pm. We are closed on Sundays.

Appointment times depend on each practitioner’s availabilities.

Reception is available on Mondays to Fridays between 8:30am and 5:30pm.

We understand if you prefer not to have in-person sessions during this time. We offer telehealth (video and phone) options for most of our services. You may book these online or over the phone.
