Mental health struggles can feel overwhelming. Be gentle and patient with yourself — healing takes time, and it’s okay to not have all the answers right away. Approach therapy with an open mind, and remember that vulnerability is where growth happens. Taking small, compassionate steps — like talking to someone you trust, reaching out for therapy, or practising self-care — can create meaningful change. Most importantly, never underestimate the power of asking for help; you don’t have to navigate it alone.”

Professional Experience

Farah is a clinical psychologist and couples therapist with over 15 years’ experience conducting psychological assessments, diagnoses and therapy for a wide range of mental and emotional disorders. She works with children (6 and up), adolescents, and adults. She is particularly interested in treating depression and anxiety, as well as providing parental counselling and couples counselling. She provides interventions for ASD, ADHD, trauma, life transitions, bipolar disorder, pregnancy-related issues, grief and loss, work stress, LGBTQ+ issues and more.

In addition to her clinical work, Farah brings over 20 years of teaching experience in psychology to undergraduates, postgraduates, and PhD students. She has presented at mental health conferences and delivered professional trainings and workshops both locally and internationally. These accomplishments reflect her commitment to staying at the forefront of psychological research and treatment modalities. She has worked in diverse therapeutic settings, from private practice to hospitals, and is experienced in collaborating with individuals across different backgrounds, cultures, and life stages. These experiences shape her integrative and person-centred approach, which is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect.

Farah believes every person has inherent worth, the capacity to grow, and the strength to overcome challenges. For her, therapy is a transformative space for healing, growth, and self-discovery. It’s not just about resolving symptoms, but about embracing your authentic self. Viewing therapy as a collaborative partnership, she walks alongside her clients as they explore challenges, tap into inner strengths, and develop practical strategies to live a more a fulfilling life.

Compassionate and grounded, Farah approaches each individual with an open heart and mind. Her strength lies in her ability to build a strong therapeutic alliance rooted in trust and connection. As an active listener with genuine curiosity, she engages deeply with your story. She takes the time to understand not just what you’re going through, but who you are — honouring your experiences, values, and strengths.

Farah offers a warm, open and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, seen, and supported. She creates a safe, nurturing space where her clients can explore their emotional and mental wellbeing, build self-awareness and learn to navigate life with resilience. She combines evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, and mindfulness, tailoring each session to individual needs. Her holistic approach considers emotional, mental, physical, and social factors, integrating mind-body awareness and lifestyle into the therapeutic process. She brings patience and flexibility to each session, recognising that healing is not linear. Her clients often feel both supported and challenged, growing at their own pace. Her goal is to equip her clients with tools for lasting change, while fostering self-compassion and acceptance.

She shares one of her favourite quotes by poet Stephanie Bannett Henry, “Life is tough my darling, but so are YOU!!!!”

Outside of work, Farah is a devoted cat mum of 18 years, and enjoys music, travel, reading self-development books, hosting parties, and cooking Pakistani food for friends and family.
