Tony Chan
Professional Experience
Tony understands that reaching out for mental health support can feel daunting. Patient, open-minded and empathetic, he aims to make that first conversation feel welcoming and help clients feel at ease as they explore their options.
With a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science, majoring in Psychological Science with a minor in Sociology, and a Graduate Diploma of Psychology Advanced, Tony brings a strong interest in people and their experiences. His three years of academic tutoring and current volunteer work with Lifeline have further shaped his appreciation for listening, patience and understanding individual needs.
As a first point of contact at New Vision Psychology, Tony handles enquiries, appointments and billing, while helping clients find a psychologist suited to their needs. He also coordinates with psychologists, doctors and psychiatrists to support referrals and keep the process moving smoothly.
Working towards becoming a registered psychologist, Tony values the opportunity to learn from the team around him. He enjoys meeting people from different backgrounds and working through the varied questions and challenges each day brings. Above all, he finds purpose in helping people access support when they may be feeling vulnerable or overwhelmed.
Outside of work, Tony enjoys gaming, heading to the gym and settling in with a good movie.
