Professional Experience

Zoe works with children, adolescents, adults and older adults. She provides interventions for a wide range of issues, including trauma, complex trauma, PTSD, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, migration stress, cultural issues, depression, grief, sleep issues, psychosis, addictions, work and academic stress, interpersonal relationship challenges, family issues, parenting concerns and domestic violence.

With professional training in both Hong Kong and Australia, Zoe brings a valuable cultural perspective to her practice, enabling her to connect deeply with clients from diverse backgrounds. She has a particular affinity for clients from Chinese and Hong Kong backgrounds, many of whom feel a natural connection with her due to her deep cultural understanding and personal experiences.

Zoe is relaxed, down-to-earth, humorous and flexible. Her curiosity and open-mindedness allow her to explore issues in an engaging and non-judgmental manner. With an adventurous drive to continuously learn and try new things, she often relates to her clients’ interests and hobbies.

Zoe ensures her clients feel understood and cared for throughout their therapeutic journey, and creates a safe environment where they feel at ease exploring their thoughts, emotions and experiences. She believes that mental disorders do not define a person; each individual’s experiences and challenges are unique and deserve to be addressed with care and respect.

Zoe works collaboratively to uncover her clients’ needs, wants and strengths, while respecting and valuing the uniqueness of their personalities and lifestyles. She empowers clients to address the symptoms, stressors and beliefs that may be holding them back, guiding them toward becoming the best versions of themselves in alignment with their personal goals. By encouraging self-care and reflective practices, Zoe helps her clients build resilience and independence, empowering them to become their own psychologists.

Zoe’s philosophy is that no one understands you better than yourself. In her sessions, rather than fitting a client’s situation into a pre-existing psychological framework, she collaborates with each individual to first gain a shared understanding of their specific experiences. From there, she applies psychological insights and tailors therapeutic approaches to align with their particular needs and goals. She incorporates elements from various modalities, including narrative therapy, DBT, ACT, CBT, schema therapy and psychodynamic therapy.

Passionate about psychology, Zoe constantly questions, learns and revisits her knowledge to provide the best care possible. She is inspired by the opportunity to support her clients through their challenges, celebrate their successes and share in their journeys of growth and transformation.

When she isn’t working, Zoe enjoys reading (often psychology-related books), writing fiction, painting, playing music, gaming and cooking. She is a fan of Studio Ghibli animations, old movies, Canto-pop and classical music.
