Professional Experience

Andrew is a humanistic psychologist who is skilled in treating depression, anxiety, addiction, family difficulties, workplace problems and impulse control issues. He is passionate about helping people explore their personal strengths to increase their confidence and self-esteem. Andrew takes a holistic perspective in helping his clients alleviate suffering and enhance wellness.

Andrew believes that, as humans, we sometimes get stuck due to certain perceptions and limiting beliefs, which block us from accessing our internal strength and resources. During his sessions, Andrew takes his clients on a journey of self-discovery, development and transformation. He helps them become more aware of their own thoughts, expectations and desires so that they can make better choices in their lives.

Andrew is client-centred and tailors his therapeutic approach according to each client. He primarily uses Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) where he guides his clients in uncovering thought patterns associated with problematic events, examining the validity of those thoughts and beliefs. He also integrates elements of Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) to enhance their motivations to change and help them manage personal distress. When addressing family or relationship issues, he adopts elements from Satir Family Therapy to help his clients understand their relationship dynamics.

When he isn’t working, Andrew enjoys watching films and television, making music and singing in a choir.
