“Psychology, for me, begins with care. When you meet me, it may be at one of the most vulnerable points in your life, and I take that responsibility seriously. My role is to offer knowledge, judgement, care, and humanity, while creating a safe space for honest reflection. If you’ve tried strategies that haven’t worked, it may be time for a new perspective. Therapy works best when you bring openness and curiosity, and it’s okay to start small, because small steps can lead to big change.”

Sajedeh has over 12 years of experience working with young adults (16+), adults, and older adults (80+). She has special interests in obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders, mood disorders (depression, dysthymia, bipolar disorders), anxiety disorders, ADHD treatment and support, adjustment disorders and life transitions, personality disorders, and interpersonal problems. She is particularly skilled at supporting people who feel stuck or unable to flourish, whether or not they meet formal diagnostic criteria.

Sajedeh’s personal motivation for becoming a psychologist stems from her own experiences as a teenager, when she struggled with depression, anxiety, and social anxiety and often longed for the guidance of a mentor or psychologist. The lack of access at that time inspired her career choice — to become the kind of clinician she once needed. Having also lived in different places as a migrant and worked with a wide range of people, she brings a rich set of lived experiences that deepen her understanding of diverse perspectives and the challenges people face in different life situations. This background enables her to better appreciate her clients’ journeys and to meet them with sensitivity and respect.

Sajedeh has completed a Bachelor, Master, and PhD in Clinical Psychology, alongside ongoing professional development. Psychology, for her, is a lifelong path. She is deeply committed to continual learning — not only out of personal interest, but from the responsibility that comes with the role. She genuinely loves her work and anything related to human connection, finding deep satisfaction in supporting people to grow while growing alongside them.

Sajedeh’s approach to therapy is fundamentally humanistic — warm, respectful, non-judgemental, and collaborative. She works in an integrative and evidence-based way, tailoring her clinical work to each individual by combining diagnostic understanding, assessment, and a flexible therapeutic style. She draws on psychoanalytic ideas, cognitive-behavioural approaches, and third-wave CBT techniques for skill-building, as well as mindfulness-based and emotion regulation strategies to support clients. She also applies neuropsychological perspectives where appropriate.

Sajedeh places strong emphasis on ethical practice and on creating a safe and trustworthy environment for her clients. Her style is both reflective and practical; her favourite tool is Socratic dialogue — guiding clients through thoughtful questions that challenge assumptions and open new perspectives. Through this this curious approach, she fosters deeper understanding while equipping clients with the skills they need to navigate life more effectively. She finds it profoundly rewarding to witness the moments when clients reclaim control of their lives through deep self-reflection, greater awareness, and personal empowerment.

For Sajedeh, therapy is not only about symptom relief, but also about helping clients move from merely “getting by” to flourishing. She sees this work as a shared journey, “You are not just my client, but a partner in growth, and together we find new perspectives that can open the door to change.” Over the course of her career, she has learnt that as humans, we are more similar than different — this shared humanity allows us to empathise, connect, and heal together. Sometimes, without even realising, her clients help her as much as she helps them.

She constantly returns to this quote by Carl Rogers, “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” It captures the balance between acceptance and growth that sits at the heart of therapy.

When she isn’t working, she enjoys engaging in her hobbies, and spending time with family and friends.
