Below is a breakdown of the different mental health services that we offer from our Chatswood psychology clinic
Adolescent and Child Psychology Services
At New Vision Psychology, we have a skilled team of child psychologists with years of experience counselling children, adolescents, and teens across the North Shore of Sydney.
Our Chatswood counsellors help the families we work with to diagnose and subsequently treat a variety of mental health disorders and conditions, including (but not limited to):
Family and Relationship Problems
Our North Shore psychologists offer supportive, safe, and empathetic therapy and guidance for any relationship or family-related problems or concerns. We provide marriage counselling, therapy for anger management, and grief counselling for individuals grappling with loss. We also help people to cope with LGBTQ+ issues, cross-cultural relationship challenges, or workplace concerns.
Trauma and Personal Struggles
Trauma and personal struggles such as body dysmorphia, social anxiety, or disordered eating can negatively impact mental health in children, adolescents, and adults. Our Chatswood psychologists are equipped to support clients to get through these struggles and other traumatic experiences like self-harm or sexual abuse.
Addiction Psychology Services
Addiction is complex. It is debilitating disease that is often misunderstood or overlooked. We understand the mental, physical, and sometimes financial toll that addiction can have on people who are struggling, and to the people around them. Therefore, at New Vision Psychology, we are committed to supporting Australian individuals and families living with addiction. Whether it’s alcohol, drugs, gambling, sex, pornography, or any other addiction – our skilled addiction therapists in Chatswood have the experience to help you take control of your addiction and overcome it.
Support with Illness and Health Issues
Dealing with long-term or terminal illness, chronic pain, or a physical disability can be incredibly difficult – both physically and mentally. Our empathetic team of psychologists in Chatswood understand these challenges and are trained to help you overcome the stress and strain that comes with illness or injury – whether it’s a cancer diagnosis, memory problems, sleep-related issues, vision impairment, or something else.
